PHILIPS-BRAND-NAMES
Over the years Philips used more than thousand brand names. Famous examples
were Argenta (1922), Phonogram (1962) and Senseo (2001). To emphasise the link
with the strong trade name Philips, the first part of this name was included in many of

tape. Was played back with a light beam. The name
was a blend of Philips and Miller, the American inventor.
